A collection of essays about Native Americans as they have been portrayed in film. Keep in mind that this book was published in 1980, and that several of the essays within seem to have been written in the 1940s. That being said, a lot of the material may be outdated, but some of the broader concepts (ie: stereotypes) are still relevant.

My biggest issue: Many of the essays are extremely short (let's say 2 pages) and therefore they don't have much depth behind them. A lot of the statements are generalized. It is good for quick reading and background information perhaps, but is not as in-depth as contemporary research is.
