5 stars. I’m biased toward this book since my family history is based in Pawhuska/Osage county. I remember going up there every Christmas until my great grandmother died.
What shocked me the most is I knew nothing about the Reign of Terror and the Osage riches. Killers of the Flower Moon is a great history book, and I’m interested to see how they turn it into a movie. I do think it’d be even better with family tree diagrams - it was hard to keep the multitude of characters straight, but other than that it was an enlightening and engaging read.
“The blood cries out from the ground.”

This book opened my eyes to the forgotten story of the Osage people. While the book spanned almost 100 years it was easy to follow. This book had reminded me how much I like reading history based books. I highly suggest this book to anyone who enjoys American history.
