Not as action-packed or cohesive as the first installment of the trilogy, but definitely more than filler between setup and conclusion. Serious character development and revelations happen! Love to see that in a book 2 of 3. The final sequences are thrown at you a little too quickly to process them in my opinion.

Fabulous improvement from the first book. Characters are more smoothly developed, the writing is tighter and more intense, and the storyline is gripping in a way that the first book lacked.
My only gripe is the time travel plot; but as it's a personal preference (I hate time travel plots in any form, although this one is decent in that it addresses that even the smallest thing can severely impact the future) it doesn't really detract from the book overall. Solid sequel, and I'm excited for the third and final book.

Well this was mess. How is this series young adult listen I have no problem with sex scenes but do authors know there is new adults fantasy as genres.
Corien is best part of this book because he is mostly same character .
Eliana I like better then in first book but Simon's betrayal wasn't foreshadowed. Everything we know about his character is that devoted to Eliana...makes no sense.

Rielle and her storyline are still best part of book although whole Rielle,Ludivine, Audric is super weird but almost everything in series is.
Even though book is too long it's paced good I liked more. I'm conflicted but i will give 3 star maybe later come back to give 2.

Kingsbane continues to follow the journey of Eliana and Rielle whose destinies are bound together through the centuries that separate them.

This was an amazing sequel to the first book, Furyborn. I absolutely love the way the story goes back and forth. Between past and present - between Rielle and Eliana.

Eliana is growing into her power and finally accepting that she is Rielle's daughter. While we, the readers, get a play by play of how her present future came to be through Rielles eyes.

So many new developments and shocking twists that I never saw coming!!

I throughly enjoyed reading this and look forward to getting my hands on the last book!

This book was hard to follow. It is just as complex as the last book, but each chapter goes back and forth between the two main characters. It can get very confusing.

I found the story of this book interesting, but also slow. That is usual for a second book in a trilogy. I hope the third book knocks my socks off.

The ending was a complete shocker! Oh my gosh!

Audric continues to disappoint. Corien continues to give us absolutely nothing. Ludivine continues to grate on my nerves. Simon and Harkan are out here throwing curve balls left and right.
