Wow. I listened to the audiobook narrated (well, more like performed) by the author, Rebecca Watson. Initially I thought that it was impenetrable, but I very quickly was absorbed into the flow of incomplete sentences and the minutiae of every thought articulated. It oddly flowed.

Following a single day of our protagonist who has recently been raped by her boss is fucking tough going. Really fucking tough. But I honestly believe essential. Essential not to turn away, but to face the grim and skin tearing reality.

An amazing book and I think the experience was heightened by listening to it as an audiobook. Inescapable.

the premise is good (internal monologue of the every day girl’s every day) but…it’s too hip and fractured and disjointed and try hard. too hipster for this grandma.

2.5* this book covers a lot of really important topics but it was just such a chore to read due to its typesetting, even though i understood why it was laid out that way
