There’s just something about mutual pining that tugs on all my heartstrings! I adore the friendship between Zoe & Cruz. They both have reasons they’re not willing to cross boundaries and let the other know their feelings go deeper. When Zoe’s in trouble, all bets are off, and I was invested. I loved the friendships we get to see with everyone at the retreat, and the suspense kept me on my toes! I can’t wait to continue the series!

There are heart stopping moments right from the get go with this book and I don't know how Zoe held it together at times, thankfully Cruz is around although lord help me I really wanted shake some sense into both of them as they are perfect for each other but neither wants to acknowledge it due to their pasts which are both heart wrenching. It was great to see everyone from the previous book, however it also reminds you of their loss and how they are still working through it. Between trying to work out who is really behind the attacks, never knowing when an attack might happen as well as the sexual tension and hoping Zoe and Cruz finally get together you get one heck of a page turner.
