I finished reading three Bridgerton stories in chronological order. I read this book after watching the first and second season of the Bridgerton series. I thought The Duke and I was just a good read for me and nothing special about Daphne and Simon's story. I enjoyed reading it but I didn't feel there were any heartwarming or romantic moments. I found those moments in the second and third book. Kate and Anthony's story was better in the book, and I can't believe how much they changed the plot in the series. I appreciated how there was no triangle love story between Kate, Anthony and Edwina (I found it off-putting to watch). There were some scenes I would have loved to see on screen, such as the library scene. As for Benedict and Sophie's story, I really enjoyed reading their love story. I had no idea it was a Cinderella retelling and I loved it! Since there's no series out about them yet, it felt refreshing to read it without imagining the actors and actresses' faces. I hope they will not change the plot too much as they did in the second one.
If I were to rate the three stories, I would put Sophie and Benedict's story in the top rank, followed by Kate and Anthony and Daphne and Simon.

Total escape but fun. Totally cheesy and predictable. Fair amount of sex.

Books are always better than shows, but this might be a tie!

A fun 3 vol set of the first 3 Bridgerton books. I enjoyed book 2 and 3 more than the first story, but they are all fun romance stories. Each book covers a different sibling. I plan to read the rest. Book 1: You've probably watched the show by now. Book 2: Enemies to lovers. Book 3: Cinderella story.
