Well, that’s all. The Dresden Files was the series that got me interested in reading since I was young. In between starting Storm Front and now, no new novels have come out. When I finish the last of the short stories, I’m out for a few years. Thank you Jim. For all it’s faults, The Dresden Files will always have a special place in my heart for making the door to reading open again.
I knew many spoilers starting this book (Screw you self control! The Reddit posts were clearly labeled “Spoiler!” Why did you look at it?!), but there were a lot of smaller twists and turns still got me.
This and Peace Talks will absolutely change the events of the series as a whole. I can definitely see why Twelve Months is going to be the world shifting into it’s new position and people recovering from what all happened.

This was never going to be my cup of tea. Thats why it took me so long to finish. I don’t enjoy war or battle scenes. But, with a name like “Battle Ground”, I knew what I was in for. 90% of the book was a battle zone. Lots of fighting, blood, death, malice. Again, not my cup of tea. I feel like, i could have read the first 10% and the last 10% and been happier. Though I would have missed a fee important scenes and moments. Its a tradeoff 🤷🏼‍♀️
