Been stuck on page 147 for months. Just so boring and I had such high hopes for this book. But I’m done.

On the one hand I enjoyed this, but on the other boyyyy does it give off strong “written by a man in the 80s” vibes, whether legitimately or for the sake of parody I don’t know. If things had got moving a little faster, and if the cast of characters hadn’t been too large (and under utilised in many ways) I wouldn’t mind as much.

Had my doubts about this at the beginning. The style of dialogue was a little, I don't know... unusual I think is how I'd describe it, but I soon forgot about that completely and simply really really enjoyed the ride. recommended highly to everyone that needs to escape this shite, unreasonable, ridiculous world for a while. excellent book. can't wait to dive into the rest of the trilogy.

Easy to read, filled with cute jokes, comparisons and sarcasm. The characters are great and the adventure itself was thrilling :D
