Despite a reasonably satisfying ending, I am glad to be finished with this series.

Even though there was so much that happened in this book, it still seemed to go slow and a lot of the relationship aspects of the storyline seemed to be a rinse and repeat of the previous 2 books. That being said I did really like Scott's character and felt his and Patch's growth through the series was good. However I can't say the same for Nora, who seemed to never really have much personal growth through the series. Then in this books seems to have a complete personality shift, mainly because of becoming Nephilim, and yet this doesn't prevent her from continuing to make the same mistakes she made in the previous ones again and again. There were also some parts of the storyline that didn't make sense to me at all, other than it was needed for the overall plot to work. For example, Nora being left as the leader of the Nephilim.

In the end, I thought that Becca wrapped everything up well. I read a fair amount of YA and whilst there are many in that category that I thoroughly enjoy as my adult self I think for this series, I would have liked it more if I was in my teenage years.

This was a style i enjoyed as a teenager. Unfortunately i never fi ished this series because it felt too dragged out in the end. After a recent decluttering I decided to throw it on the donations pile.

Okay I have been waiting for this book for a while...a long while! I really enjoyed reading it. The middle slowed down a bit and I was a bit annoyed through the parts where Nora is trying to figure out what is going on. I felt like a few parts were strained or halfhearted by her, a few of the fight, the training, the addiction. I liked the ending minus one part, but I guess sacrifice is what it is. I love how Becca makes you see the environment, whether Nora is running through the forest, or fighting in a cemetery, or dancing in a club, I can picture it perfectly and I'm always wondering where it will go next. I was surprised when a couple characters were revealed for their true selves, and laughed and cried multiple times...overall a great finish to a wonderful series. I give it 4.5 stars.

Usually , books that end the series are HORRIBLE. But this was amazing! I felt like everyone's stories were told and ended in a great way and I wasn't displeased in any way. And I'm very hard to please. (:
