As a huge fan of the show, I had a very fun time reading this! Most of the humor was great and there were a lot of parts I found genuinely funny! The characters were all amazing and I enjoyed getting to read about them.

The only thing I wish is that the book explored Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship more because they didn't interact as much as I wanted them to in the book. But I thought what we saw of their relationship was still lovely and that they were very shippable.

There were certain parts of the book that made me cringe however because some of the jokes the authors tried to make were very problematic and uncomfortable at times... But other than those "jokes" the other humor in the book usually hit.

The switching POVs made the book a tad confusing at times but I was able to understand everything fine.

Overall it was a very fun book and I had a great time reading it! Although I will say I enjoyed the show more, overall I liked the book a lot and had a fun time reading it. The show touched more on Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship more which i appreciated a lot plus the tv show took out some of the problematic elements of this book while still managing to stick very closely to the original story.

I would usually not say this, but just watch the TV show! It removes most of the offensive elements and it’s way easier to follow.

I enjoyed this book but at some parts the book seemed to drag slowly a bit due to the changing perspectives. Some characters, like Shadwell or Newt, I don't think contributed much to the plot except in a few minors points or were very unlikable or bland but still manage to get a fair amount of pages about them. Some of the humor was definitely dated as well.

I'm glad to have finally read this (it's a good choice for audiobook, although long) and might revisit the show now. The satire is still entertaining, but a lot of the humor has aged pretty poorly, so the truly funny moments were few and far between.
