An interesting retelling of Rapunzel. I was happy to learn more about Flint. As always it was great to see Dax and learn there is hope to find out about his past. The story was definitely unexpected, especially as you learn about who Zelle is. I truly enjoyed how the author displayed how Flint dealt with what life threw at him. He was very stubborn, but learned how to depend on others, The book had a good mix of humor, action, and romance. Wow, their happy ending, worth reading to get to. The story definitely sets up the next book, I am excited to see what happens.

I received a copy of this book for free from the author in exchange for my unbiased review of it.

I have read all of the books in this series so far and I have to say that this one is probably my favorite by far. Flint is back and still running from his problems concerning what his sister Snow has become because he doesn't want to face or accept what her choice was. Dax is still with him helping to keep him safe as he roams the country going from place to place when they come across a tower with a beautiful woman inside.
Zelle lives in a tower with a man whom she believes is her father but from the offset something comes off as wrong. He's siphoning off her magic. He says it's for her benefit but is it really? With all the changes happening all over Fairelle nothing is ever what it really seems. Flint is injured by dragon spit and needs to get help. They manage to get into the tower to look for a way to treat Flint's wounds when they meet Zelle. There is a connection between Zelle and Flint and you can practically feel it.
This book is full of surprises that will just keep coming and having you craving more with each passing page. As with the others there are losses but there is always hope which I love. Dax even begins to get a hint at who he might truly be by associating and helping Zelle as the story goes on which makes me even more eager for the next story and the next so that I can find out more. This series is truly fascinating and engaging and draws you in from the first page all the way until the very end. The characters are so well written and so wonderfully created that you'll wish that they were real so that you could experience their world with them.
Zelle and the Tower is another great installment in the Fairelle series and I give it 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who wants to engaged in this beautifully written and engaging fantasy series.
