Just not my cup of tea. It rambled on and on, and in the end nothing was really resolved.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley. My review is voluntary.

The Revolving Heart is quite an enjoyable read, until you get near the end, then it all falls apart. it's very open ended with little to no conclusion unless there is to be novel, if not it feels very anticlimactic.

I really enjoyed reading this book! The characters are well crafted with thoughtful dialogue. The plot is interesting and paced well; I definitely thought about the characters when I was not reading and excited to continue.

Thanks to Goodreads and the publisher for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Donatello was raised by his uncle in a small town in New Jersey after he was abandoned as a baby by his addict mother. Now living in California and dating a new woman, Kelly, he gets a call from an old girlfriend, Amy, asking him to come home.

Twenty years earlier, something terrible had happened, and I'd promised to always be there for her.

Donatello and Amy used to babysit four year-old Sarah Carpenter, child of a struggling single mother. One day at the beach, Sarah disappears. The Revolving Heart tells the story of how Donatello and Amy tried to put this dark shadow behind them, and how as nearly 40-something adults they are still dealing with the fallout from that terrible time.

This book made me cry a little, laugh a little, and cheer for the characters as they struggle to grow.
I would definitely recommend it to a friend!
