Readers who love Pride and Prejudice will love this book! This modern, paranormal twist on the beloved classic has everything a Jane Austen fan could want and more! Izzy Bennet needs to deal with her matchmaking mama, twitter-brained younger sisters, and of course avoid the snooty wizard, Darcy Fitz, who ends up saying all the wrong things at the wrong times. Just like in the timeless Austen classic, the man turns out to be much more than what Izzy sees on the surface. Witches, vampires, dragons, mystery…even though the story may be familiar, Adrienne Blake delivers enough new twists and turns to keep the reader riveted until the end. Reading this story was like sliding into a comfortable pair of slippers, but finding out the slippers are not only a perfect fit, but bedazzled in magical jewels. I am absolutely looking forward to reading Sense and Succubus!

This was an ok read for me. There were parts I enjoyed, some cute moments between Izzy and Fitz. However I thought the paranormal elements were a little generic and random and you know exactly where the story is going as it hits all the same plot points as the original story. I love retellings but this just seemed a little to on the nose for me.

** Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc of this book**

This was a fun read! I have to say I have never read anything by Jane Austin but this was still fun!

I like Izzy, she has fire

Thank you to NetGalley and City Owl Press for providing a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.
A fun, witchy spin on a classic! This was an entertaining retelling of Pride and Prejudice with the fun family antics and romantic angst you would expect from the original. I thoroughly enjoyed this and absolutely recommend it for anyone wanting a witchy romance with relatable characters and well-developed plot!

This book is for anyone who loves to combine paranormal with classics. If you ever read Jane Austen's work, then you won't have trouble following this book. It's updated, but with a paranormal twist.

As a story, I found the character development to be fairly predictable with the exception of Charlotte. I thought Charlotte needed some more work. Toward the end, I felt disappointed by her. As far as her friendship with Izzy goes, I wasn't very impressed. Throw in Collins and it was just...whatever.

I don't think this is a book that I would keep for my personal library. I'm just not "the right target," but I wholeheartedly acknowledge that this book is perfect for anyone who loves the paranormal genre.

Who doesn't love a good Darcy story?!? Izzy and Fitz are just as push and pull as the original tale. This paranormal version has lots of intriguing spins to give it a little something extra. Very well written. I loved it!

Loved it!

I love Pride & Prejudice- every version so far. I don’t usually care for first person in books but my love for Jane Austen mixed with the book’s description made me click.

I loved the new setting, the new jobs and the same people. The magic element was perfect and the story kept you turning the page.

The ending left you feeling good and right with all the things. Nicely done. Will definitely grab the next book in the series. :)

Pride and Paranormal is a witchy retelling of Pride & Prejudice set in the modern day. The story follows Izzy Bennet and her sisters, after the wealthy and overall unpleasant Fitz Darcy comes to town. I have to admit, I am not super familiar with the original Pride & Prejudice but this was a fun read, even though I felt like I was missing out on some of the references. I particularly liked Izzy and her no-nonsense attitude, and the paranormal aspects were just a great bonus!
