There is an interesting overarching theme throughout this exploration of the fifth column about the line we draw between liberty and safety and ethical philosophy. But I just found that the majority of the book was a slog to get through and wasn't as interesting as you'd expect going into it.

End of the day the people with money and titles got away with it while the common dupes were left hanging (literally). The book got a bit repetitive by the end
