I like the characters in this series, but could do without so much witchery. This story moves along at a fast pace & is a quick read.. the ending is too abrupt though, feels rather rushed.

Pretty good, I think I might even like this one better than the first, and now I really want to find out what happened to her dad!

I love all the mystery in this book! I love how Ivy comes out of nowhere claiming to be her sister and saying their mother is in danger. I hated that it appeared as though there was someone killed at Birdies inn. I love how she went on the mission and finally accepted all her witch talents and worked hard to find the guardian. I loved the ending how Ivy and Stacy kicked ass together and I love Ivy’s childish ways. The entering was a shock and I can already see how the next book is going to be.

I enjoyed listening to this story more than the first book. Stacy ends up with her life in more turmoil as a sister she didnt know she had turns up. She then has to try and work out the truth while dealing with a body that is found with a knife in its back. Then with a kidnapping, her office trashed and someone shooting at her it all starts to become more complicated. I really enjoyed this and can't wait to continue in the series. Xx

2.5 stars. This book was not very cogent. The story was good but not put together well. Annino tried to build suspense by having the characters withhold information from each other, that neither built suspense nor furthered the story. It was just annoying. By the end I was just glad it was over. Very disappointing after a rather strong first book.

Four stars only because I didn't care for Ivy's journal entries. Otherwise I am so happy I found this series and am flying through all of the books!

At the end of book one Stacey met Ivy, a young girl claiming to be her sister. Ivy tells her that their mother has been kidnapped and she needs her help to set her free. But much more is going on and while they are searching for answers, someone is hunting them.

Bloodstone is a light and fluffy book about a bunch of witches who manage to annoy the local police by solving crimes without any help from them. It's pretty good fun.
