Another saga starts in Green Lantern universe, with a Vietnamese American boy at the center ... the plot here becomes a bit predictable but I like the family and cultural connections ....

I love these standalone DC graphic novels. They are fun entry level books that offer call backs to the larger DC continuity. Which is to say they are accessible for new readers and enjoyable for more experienced fans. The art and story were killer and this makes me want to seek out more Green Lantern stories

Great intro to a new Green Lantern. I've never read much Green Lantern or Lantern Corps stuff; I really want to now read about the main character's grandma who gives him the ring - she seems like a badass!

The illustrations were wonderful, but superheroes just aren't my thing. Without background knowledge of the Green Lantern story I felt like I missed a lot.
