Very simplistic states the colors with little comments and is a great way to start conversations with students and invite color associations with emotions.

For: crayon lovers; Jeffers fans; readers looking for a feelings book with colorful illustrations and a few complex emotions.

Possible red flags: some may find too simple.

Didn't realize this was a board book when I ordered it. Each page spread has one crayon and an emotion word: "happy," "excited," etc.

What's the point of a Crayon book if there's no humor? This is the kind of series that just doesn't translate well to board books for babies.
