Hlavní hrdinku jsem si zamilovala v tom okamžiku, když začala zpívat Fantoma Opery! Ale celkově je kniha průměrná, prostě takové oddechové čtení.

This book was pretty good. I liked the first one: Breathing Underwater way more though. It was nice to see what happened to her after the first book, but it wasn't really necessary.

Told by Caitlin from Flinn's Breathing Underwater, and how she reforms her life after leaving an abusive relationship, concentrating on Caitlin's desire to become an opera star.

This is the sequel to BREATHING UNDERWATER. It tells Caitlin's story after she and Nick have broken up. The cover is AWFUL!!! The story is okay. Flinn uses an online blog, and it, along with the cover, seem to contrived. However, the idea of Caitlin finding and relying on her inner strength after her devasating relationship with Nick is a good one.

Good story about a girl who loves opera trying out for a performing arts school while also trying to get over her abusive boyfriend.

Very well done. A slight sequel to Breathing Underwater (which I read some time ago and vaguely remember), this novel focuses on Caitlin as she transfers to a performing arts high school, makes new friends, and really discovers just how much singing means to her. I am always so pleased to find the few books where the main character is an actual singer and interested in classical music (in Caitlin's case, opera -- even more unusual), and where the story really centers on this. When Caitilin says to a friend "if you can't sing, what's the point in getting up in the morning?", I jumped for joy.

But that's just me. It's also good wriiting, fun characters, and a great message.

Uber fantastic, wonderful, terrific, amazing, incredible book!
Diva follows Caitlin's story after the book Breathing Underwater.
Caitlin applies to and gets to go to a performing arts school where she is able to shine singing opera music. She makes new friends, tries new things - like dancing - and blogs about her journey. Between her mother dating Doctor Toe Jam, and still avoiding Nick, and trying to fit in at her new school, she is pretty busy. While the last book made me cry, this one made me happy. Great story for teens!
