I tried to get through this, but it just seemed like the same old story. I'm tired of Nathan, I really am. I don't know how Carrie could love him.

I wasn't loving this to start with, I felt it was a bit slow but really picked up in the second half. Very gory though so not good if you're screamish. Great ending.

Carrie is a vampire as well as Max, and Ziggy in addition there is Bill and Nathan who are both humans. As much time as Bill hangs out with vampires he will never understand their hunger need for blood. The Soul Eater has rallied up an army of vampires. Carrie always knew this day would come and now it’s here. Carrie is ready to put a stop to the Soul Eater even if it means she has to sacrifice her life to do so.

I would not recommend reading this book without having first read the other three books in the Blood Ties series. Another reason why I recommend reading the other books first is because I didn’t really feel vested with the characters, so I had a really hard time making myself stay interested till the end. Even though I had the general concept of what was taking place in this story I still was some what confused. Then there was the ending. Something that should have been grand but instead was damped by the fact that I was just glad to have completed the book finally. All Soul’s Night is the final booking the Blood Ties series. As much as I was disappointed that I could not get into this book, I would give Jennifer Armintrout another try.

This is the final installment in the Blood Ties series by Jennifer Armintrout. I can honestly say I’m happy that my reread is done! I didn’t realize that I would take so long to reread this series. Don’t get me wrong, I did love this reread! I just took too damn long.

As this is the final book in the series, I’m not going to go into detail about this book as it would spoil anything that happens the the three books before it.

Just know this is the perfect ending for this series. Carrie drove me a bit crazy going through the books but I can overlook that as I love all the other side characters.

This last book is filled with violence and love. That’s all I’m really going to say about it! Definitely one of my favorite books in this series.

5/5 stars

The final book in the series. It tied everything up surprisingly and nicely.. I didn't like it as much as the other 3 in the series but the end made it worth it!

I read the Blood Ties books at the end of 2009. These books are really great. They are a little bloody, but the underline story is amazing. The major themes include doubt, lost, love, and redemption. Ok, I would read the Blood ties books for two reason one because you like paranormal fiction, and the book will total make you think about the world and life in a deeper way. A must read.

So. The end of the series.

omg. so much going on......yet the big battle takes 10 mins of reading - if that.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟SPOILER ALERT 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I have to say anti climatic......

it would have been sooooo much better if they could STOP BRINGING PEOPLE BACK TO LIFE!!!! It kinda takes the whole dying thing shock out of the equation.

First Cyrus died. Resurrected as human. Turned vamp by Carrie. Killed. Resurrected. Turned vamp.

Then it was Ziggy turn to come back from the dead. I have to admit that one surprised me and I'm glad he did.

Carrie turns out to be a soul eater. Sigh. So as she kills the original Soul Eater, Nathan who couldn't fight kills her by stabbing her heart that Cyrus removed earlier in the series....then kills himself.

And surprise.....he and Carrie get brought back to life as humans to live HEA.

Ziggy is in a relationship with newcomer Bill and it's actually a sweet relationship and he does deserve happiness after the crap he went thru.

Meanwhile Max - now a lupin - a vampire/werewolf hybrid leaves the comfort of his vamp friends to be with Bella and her pack.

Not 100% sure what happened with Cyrus. As far as we know he's still a vamp.....

Like I said ....pretty anti climatic. ...if it didn't keep bringing them back to life it may have held more water but that small fact hovered over every death and when it does happen after the first couple of times you mentally sigh and go "really? Again?"

The last few pages are pretty much telling us to enjoy the small things in life. You never know what's round the corner etc which is a lovely sentiment but.....

I feel unfulfilled...? I think that might ve the term.
There were times through the series I really pushed myself to keep reading and when you feel like that at the end...it's a little disappointing.

Sorry Ms Armintrout -your writing skills are great, and you describe situations, characters, items etc exceptionally well which helps with the imagination. I just wish the ending and the whole resurrection thing wasn't over played.

More of a 3.5 really, though even that feels a little harsh. I enjoyed this book and I really enjoyed the series as a whole - though I do think it had been too long since I read the earlier books. Jennifer Armintrout is underrated in the paranormal romance genre. This series was orginal and brave and far better than a lot of the more succesful series.

Hea

Nathan and Carrie finally free to truly live and love. Can't help wishing Cyrus could have found happiness and love too. I've been pulling for Cyrus the last three books. Excellent series!
