2- Hayali Simon Snow serisini yazan hayali yazarımız Gemma T. Leslie
3- Simon Snow hayran kurguları yazan Cath Avery

"You can park your snark at the gate, Omaha."

I am a total fangirl of [b: Fangirl|16068905|Fangirl|Rainbow Rowell|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1355886270s/16068905.jpg|21861351].

For Cath, being a fan is her life—and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving. Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.

Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She’s got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, and a fiction-writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world. Can she do this? And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?

[b: Fangirl|16068905|Fangirl|Rainbow Rowell|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1355886270s/16068905.jpg|21861351] is, by no means, a work of literary art. And yet, I can't do anything but give it a complete 5-star review because I can see myself re-reading this again and again. If you're a writer or an introvert, this book will be extremely relatable. If you've ever been completely obsessed with a fandom, this book will be extremely relatable.

Absolutely all of the characters were cute, complex, and well-written.

Cath: she begins her college year holed up in her room eating protein bars and peanut butter to avoid the awkwardness of the cafeteria (for 3 weeks!). While some might find this incredibly weird, I totally understand these little things that plague those with social anxiety (even though I don't have it myself). She is so quirky and so adorably awkward.

Reagan: Cath's roommate is totally bittersweet; she's the perfect balance of mean and sweet all at once. She's a forceful character that provided a good, solid foundation for Cath to rely on. And with so much snark and attitude!

Levi: he's like a supernova of awesomeness. The ray of sunshine on a bleak day. Always ready with a smile, always willing to talk so Cath doesn't feel she has to, and always willing to listen when she does. Boys like this are unicorns that are to be captured and protected. Also, he just gets Cath and it's so incredibly sweet and adorable. I want to just hug him. All the time. Give me all the nice guys!

"I choose you over everyone." (SWOON!)

Wren: Cath's twin turns into the epitome of college freshman gone wild. While I understand wanting to separate from your "twin identity" to establish your individualism, I was still highly annoyed with her the whole book. I'm both happy and angry that things came full circle at the end of the book in terms of Cath and Wren's relationship.

Fan fiction: I feel like this deserves its own "character" highlight because sneak peeks into Simon Snow's world was liberally littered throughout the book. I loved the "show and tell" this provided. I want to know more! (Found out that the author published [b: Carry On|32768522|Carry On|Rainbow Rowell|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1481729252s/32768522.jpg|43346673] which is Cath's collection of fan fiction. Eeee! I can't wait to read!)

My only other comment would be that [b: Fangirl|16068905|Fangirl|Rainbow Rowell|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1355886270s/16068905.jpg|21861351] is a character-driven book rather than a plot-driven book. The first half is coming-of-age that transitions to romance for the second half. So long as that's what you're looking for, this will be an excellent read for you.

Recommended for the geeks, the introverts, and the fans of fandoms. Pretty much anyone awesome, really.
