This was a simply written historical romance. It was a quick read and, even though very predictable, was enjoyable to read.

Oh how I loved Tristan and Grace together, along with her son Matthew! The author gripped me right in the beginning and held me there until hours later I was finished, and with a smile on my face.
Tristian is a tortured hero, and Grace a loving mother, also a widow, who is escaping her circumstances literally in the middle of the night. When these two paths cross, their lives will never be the same again.
Loved all the supporting characters from her previous books, along with some new villains to hate.
