So as a big fan of C. Hope Clark, I was excited to get my hands on this new series. Callie is another strong character coming out of a very tough situation, hoping to get her bearings while spending time in this little beach town. The story quickly unfolds and we are left questioning everyone by the end of the book.

I love a good murder mystery and Callie is much more than your regular sleuth. If you enjoy police procedurals, murder mysteries, and strong female leads, you'll enjoy this book. Looking forward to the next one!

Also, I want to share that my book club had the pleasure of Ms. Clark's company during our discussion of the book and she is fantastic. She shared that the Edisto Beach community LOVE the novel and are eagerly awaiting the next as well.

3 1/2. I got too frustrated with the main character and also guessed “who done it and why” but couldn’t figure out how. Worth the read and will try more in the series

This is one of the best mysteries I’ve read in a long, long time. I was immediately drawn into the story and within a few pages I knew it was gonna be JUICY, in a “book-ish” way. Hope Clark is masterful at creating realistic, credible characters the reader can identify with. The plot was exciting but believable. I am so thrilled to have a new author to follow and I’m grateful a teacher I work with recommended this series. I highly recommend “Murder on Edisto”.

I don't usually read mysteries, but met this author at a conference and simply had to read it. I'm really glad I did. Not only was this a great story with characters I cared about, I've found a place I'd like to travel to. I'll be reading another in this series very soon.

This is a well written and fast paced Southern Mystery. It is easy to get to know the characters and identify with them like family members.

Chapter one jumps right into the action and it seldom slows down. C. Hope Clark makes you feel like you are right there on Edisto Island with Callie. There were no easy answers or obvious plot points. I was guessing and trying to piece together clues until the end.

I look forward to the rest of the series.

Great read, the characters are excellent, with their own demons like in real life. Plenty of twists and turns. Kept me up even though I need my sleep.
