I hadn't read Daughter of Smoke & Bone since I was a freshman or sophomore in high school, so I reread it around Christmas with the intent on finally finishing the series. By the end of the first book, I decided that I needed a little breather because I'd read through it so quickly and I was thankful that this novella existed.

Zuzanna and Mik were minor characters in DOSMB but this novella, which only lasts one night, it still so cute and adorable and I'm so glad that we finally got to see it fleshed out. I love Karou and Akiva but...Zuze and Mik are where it's at. I could read a whole series about them alone. This novella is super cute, super fluffy, and the art is absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has read the first book in the series!

Seriously think these are some of my favorite side characters ever. Smiled through the whole book.

Best novella I've ever read! I could write a review but I will sum it up with my state while I was reading this beauty

I absolutely love Zuzana (and Mik!) and I'm so glad we got something happy to read before Dreams of Gods and Monsters comes out and I cry loads.

Night Of Cake And Puppets
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was so fun coming back to this world and these characters, especially Zuze and Mik!! I loved the little twist with Mik leaving the courtyard to prepare something for Zuze, it was so lovely!
Daughter of smoke and bone is a trilogy and one of my favorite at that. I was so excited to read this short story, and it was absolutely a good one too!

"It’s like losing gravity and falling into space – the moment of pitching headlong when the endlessness of space asserts itself and there is no more down, only an eternity of up, and you realize you can fall forever and never run out of stars."

This Book, it's perfect. It's perfect and beautiful and amazing and I'm so, so in. love. Mik, Zuzana. The perfect fairytale.
