I'm new to Agatha Christie and every book I pick up surprises me in some way. This was no different.

An amazing fun and noir spy story. Funny characters lots of deception, and English food. The ambience for this one made me feel like I was there in England post war time running along with Tommy and Tuppence on this grand adventure. Honestly I had so much fun reading this and finished it in two sittings which doesn't happen often with books for me.

I have read lots of Agatha Christie books over the years, and I enjoy them. However, there is usually a super-detective who knows before everyone else who the killer is. In fact, they know who did it the second that they see the body. It is fine, but all the same, it gets a bit tired after a while. This story had lots of crazy running around and the main characters not knowing who the bad guy is. It was a nice change of pace. However, the best parts were the characters of Tommy and Tuppence and their slang. I loved Tuppence saying "He's a duck!!" over and over again. The characters are so fun that I definitely look forward to reading about them again.

One of Agatha Christie’s overly dramatic thrillers full of coincidences and sinister foreign figures.  Very much a product of its time but good fun nonetheless.

Finally managed to guess another one of Agatha’s endings which almost never happens. Nevertheless, a very excellent spy thriller with two charismatic, clever, and well-written main characters. While both different, they come together expertly to fill in each other’s weak spots. A lovely little read.
