I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I have heard of Supertato before but never had the chance to read it! So when I saw one of the books pop up on Netgalley I knew now was the time to get to start reading the series, starting with this one!

Bathtime (or showertime given that a lot of homes don’t have baths here) can be the most fun or the most horrible time ever. I cannot remember what kind of kid I was, but I know during my teens I absolutely loved showering, haha. After that and until now I am a bit mixed. Sometimes I love showering, other times I just want to not do it. Haha. I was curious to read this book and see what bathtime would entail!

Well, it begins all good and nice with tons of fun bubble activities! But then the evil Pea (haha, I loved that the pea was the evil guy) makes a bubbly chaos out of it and the vegetables are all in pure chaos as there is no way out of the bubbles! Confusion! Chaos! Yas! Haha, I really liked seeing the vegetables work together and thinking up all sorts of ideas to get rid of the soap following a visit from a mystic mango. Yes, I am not kidding you. These guys have a mystic mango in their midst and I was just rolling off my chair laughing.

I have to say that, given this takes place in a supermarket…. I was a bit weirded out. I mean I don’t want my veggies (and fruits) to be alive. Talk and take baths. And apparently veggies aren’t the only ones alive. Um…. OK. I can work with this. I think. Haha. Just let my imagination go and not think about the details.

29/02/16 update: my year one class absolutely loved the story. Although they continuously repeated that his name was 'Superpotato' and not 'Supertato'. It was my first ever class read; they really enjoyed it!

This was book was great!!!

I love a good pun and this book is filled with it. It is useful for an introduction into the superheroes theme and the characters are just enjoyable. A nice read.

We love the Supertato stories so we were excited to receive a new one to read at bedtime!
My daughter has grown up with these stories and my son is just old enough to enjoy them too now.
In this hilariously silly new adventure the veggies are enjoying their weekly bath. That is, until Evil Pea shows up and swaps the Bubbly Bubbles for Troubly Bubbles! Oh no the veggies are trapped down in the bubbles. Can Supertato save the day? Will he get revenge on the pesky Evil Pea? He has some help from Mystic Mango but he needs to solve the supermarket riddles to help the veggies!
These stories are so full of fun and the illustrations are brilliant and bring the comedy adventure to life.
We used to spend a week in my early years classroom reading the Supertato stories and engaging in related learning opportunities around the classroom and they were always so popular. The children loved creating Supertato and his veggie friends using vegetables to act out these stories!
Another great addition to a fantastic series!

My son was given this as a gift for Christmas. I love the concept, the illustrations and the little bit of adult humour that creeps in from time to time. My son especially enjoys it and giggles at all the funny voices I do.

Tom Hiddleston lo narra.
Yo lo escucho.
Sorry, not sorry.

We are already Supertato fans in our house, so of course, we HAD to read the latest book!

The vegetables in the supermarket are having their weekly bath with lots of fun and bubbles but then along comes their nemesis – The Evil Pea! And havoc ensues!

With the help of Mystic Mango and Supertato (plus some scientific facts about surface tension), the vegetables find the solution to their problems and save the day!

Great writing, great illustrations, another brilliant addition to the Supertato series.

A light-hearted, funny, and enjoyable read for little ones who enjoy super-hero and good vs. evil stories!

Thank you NetGalley and Simon and Schuster UK Children’s for the e-arc to review.
