This book is honestly one of the best books I have ever read. At first it was difficult to get into but by the end I couldn’t put it down. I never normally Write reviews but this book was to good to not show my appreciation for it. I love the fact it focuses on different back stories as well as just Alice. Each person was different and yet their story’s so engaging and emotional. This book was also incredibly powerful, and representative of independent strong women in different ways marriage/children/single either way. It was incredibly emotional and the story was excellently thought out and described. As well as being entertaining it also brings up moral issues such as class division, dismissal of women, racial discrimination and many more that made the narrative interesting and had so many layers. Also romantic but not in a way that focuses the whole story on romance but the relationships that were there were beautiful and added a romantic aspect to the story. I would highly recommend this book, you will not regret it. Unbelievably beautiful

As a home library officer, who is essentially doing the job of our central characters (I however have a van), I was fascinated when I heard about this book. Sadly it somewhat disappointed me. The library aspect was very interested. The characters were generally interesting but Moyes' conclusion wrapped everything up and even stuck a bow on the top! A bit contrived for my liking.

I picked this up on a whim since it was available on Libby. I didn’t really have a strong desire to read Jojo Moyes before (not even ME BEFORE YOU

I’m in such a reading slump and this book wasn’t serving me. I’m sad because I love Jojo Moyes so I may pick this up again in the future.
