This was better than the last volume, that's for sure. Although, I didn't much care for the "1952 Pickup" story.

I like the whole thing with the Titans and Deathstroke and Ravager. That was all well and good. Trigon, however, seemed underutilized; it's like he wasn't really that big of a threat. And I'm interested to see what happens with the Black Beetle and who he is. And the stuff with Dick was also nice, albeit short.

Also, Rip Hunter is a badass.

I'd give this book 3.5 stars.

I've never hear of Booster Gold before, but I suppose thats the point. While he is alright as a character – spunky, outgoing and a little bit of an asshole – he is not the shining point of the story. Rather he's the gate to more interesting, well known characters and the teller of the story.

This could have been told with literarily any other face, any other costume or any other being. He could have been an android, or a fairy. It wouldn't have made a difference to me. Which is a little odd, normally I'm all about characters and making them pop, but I enjoyed the story too much to care.

I loved all of the other characters too. Rip, the teen titans, black beetle etc. They were the ones who brought the story to life, and Booster Gold just appeared to be along for the ride. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He constantly gets criticized by others about being a light weight, something I'm going to have to agree with them on, due to the feeling that he's a watcher – just like us.
