Love this author and love this series. This book kept me going from the beginning all the way to the end.
Thank you netgalley and MIRA books for this advanced readers copy.

Subject was not to my liking (ghosts and ghoulies are OK, cults and Satanists, not so much) but stilled enjoyed it anyways.

This one took a lot of concentration to get through the audiobook. I found my attention wandering more than usual.
Part of it was Vicky & Griffin back in action. Up until now, the books feature a new couple, with previous characters popping in. For example, Rocky & Devlin show up to lend a hand in this one.
Don't get me wrong, I love series ... and continuing storylines. It just threw me for a loop.
I knew they were staying in Boston after Alex got attacked ... and now he's missing. Once again, Vicky's knowledge of Boston and the surrounding comes in handy. Random attacks and murdered women get connected, and the race is on to find where Alex is, and stop the cult from carrying out further attacks.
I really enjoyed how Vicky is becoming more confident, and Griffin is doing his best to not only support her, but protect her as well.
Lizzy Borden's house is a stop along the way, which is an interesting side note. Highlighting a witch story not set in Salem was interesting as well.

Fun continuation! I'm hoping we see more of Vicki in the future. And what can I say I'm a sucker for weird cult mysteries.
