Very clear and well written. This is great for new authors who are starting to learn. But it's also great for experienced authors who want a quick refresher after hitting the "wall" and are unable to figure out what that "one thing" is that seems to be missing. It's a good, short read.

This book was great in terms of providing a roadmap for me to start planning a long book. However, it seemed very geared to getting published, so was written with what publishers are likely to want, and emphasized some of the 'rules' that writers should follow and do's and don'ts, which are regularly broken in some of the best literature I have ever read (I'm looking at you, Dickens).
