Disappointing. Expectations were high for the debut of the Zdarsky-penned DD and issue 1 was underwhelming... The idea moving the plot is interesting, a new perspective on DD, true, but the execution seems something seen over and over again, nothing new. I didn’t like the art very much either, too static, left me completely cold... hopefully there’s time to get better for the series but this first issue was a disappointment

Matt was the mayor? I did not see this as a possibility in any timeline, but after dying and being resurrected I guess it's not much of a stretch.
He always gets more depressing after his death, rolling in the pits of self pity and anger, but I still love him though.
