As you all must notice by now, Virdi has quickly become a favorite name in my library. I loved his Grave Report series, but when I read Dangerous Ways, it was so much -more-. I fell in absolute love with Jonathan Hawthorne and I hope to see a -lot- more of him in further books. He is something akin to the epic Brat Prince so beloved in Anne Rice novels, and is strong enough to stick around for a looong time (hopefully).

Dangerous Ways is an epic urban fantasy that is far closer to actual fantasy than urban, and that's what I love about it. I love that its a completely new outlook on creatures I have loved in other lore stories. I will -definitely- be watching this series as it grows. This is a book that all fantasy lovers must have on their shelves.

I'm in love with Jonathan Hawthorne. Even the namr is magnificent. Virdi, once again, has created magic. His new spin on the Supernatural seems to know no bounds. One word: Fantastic. Can't wait until the next book in the Books of Winter come out.

I should have read it slower. Now I have to wait for the next book to come out.
