Cat Gannon doesn't want to host a tired, old holiday decorating contest. When a hurricane floods the quaint town of Merry, CT, she sees it as an opportunity to do some good with her holiday special budget. She wants to help rebuild the town and restore their annual Christmas celebration. The only thing standing in her way is Noah, the grumpy town manager. He thinks she's just in it for the ratings and doesn't want his town's suffering exploited. Will the two be able to work together?

There was a lot to love about The Christmas Fix in terms of tropes.
Grumpy/Sunshine
Rivals to Lovers
Single Dad
Secret Relationship
Career-driven woman finding the balance she needs
Reality TV

Cat's can-do, go-getting spirit really resonated with me. I was rooting for her the entire time. And Noah's connection to the Christmas Festival left me emotional in a way I was not prepared for.

But at the same time, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was too close to a cut and paste of Lucy Score's other book, Mr. Fixer Upper. It wasn't a bad book by any means, it just didn't grab my attention as much as Mr. Fixer Upper, and that might be because I finished that book shortly before starting this one.

3.5 stars. Cute holiday read. Everything was a little predictable but the characters were lovely and endearing. Lucy Score tends to capture just enough tension and tragedy in her books and this is no different.

This book was so cute, it was the perfect mix of enemies to lovers I would say that this did a better job than [b:Mr. Fixer Upper|35449431|Mr. Fixer Upper|Lucy Score|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1497663457l/35449431._SY75_.jpg|56834543].

Noah who is a stuck up single dad trying to save his town, isn't ready for the smart and sassy Cat King.

I loved all aspects of this book, brought me back to the Christmas spirit even though that happened almost a month ago. Also Sara, Noah's daughter, was great, she wasn't in it a whole lot but the parts that she was, she shined.

Like Mr. Fixer Upper, this is perfect for someone craving a HGTV romcom. I think that Lucy Score really does a great job with deciding who's POV to have at the right time which made the story flow so well.

There wasn't too much of a conflict and it was a great ending. So if you are looking for a perfect fluffy romance, and want to be back in the holiday spirit then this is the book for you!

I have been reading at least one holiday book at a time since Halloween. I was late to the Lucy Score world, but I loved the Knockemout series, so in my quest for holiday books, I came upon this one and decided to try it.

Cat is a reality TV star who finds herself in Merry after a hurricane ravages the small town. She ends up helping pull people out of the water and even saves the life of one or two. She wants her TV show to film the reconstruction of the little town, but the city manager, Noah, is not having it. They have great banter back and forth and of course, end up hooking up but she doesn't want a relationship and he doesn't want casual sex.

This is a 4.75 rounded up and it really did have a lot of emotions to sort through.
