Though the style and format may make this a quick read, I found myself taking my time when it came to analyzing Alisoun Sings. This book was assigned for a 'Teaching Chaucer through Adaptation' course I took in my final year of undergrad. I ended up falling in love with it. Bergvall is able to highlight social issues of Chaucer's time and of our own incredibly well. I would recommend this to any fan of Chaucer and any lovers of books that could be called "loosely camp".
