This is really fun! Basically, "Nosferatu's school for gifted children", a bit like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, a bit X-men-but-with-classic-horror-characters. This was a great start to a series, introducing a wide range of characters and relationships that I look forward to seeing more of. That art was a bit varied, but John Howard's work on issues 5 and 6 really stood out, with some great expressions and atmosphere: I look forward to seeing more of his work. Putting all of these classic gothic/horror character characters against Germany in the days leading up to WWII put a great dimension on things: ok, vampires and demons are baddies, but putting them against Nazis was an interesting touch. My only major criticisms include the eternal comics problem of somewhat overly sexy teenage girls, and also a distinctly sloppy approach to proofreading (which I can forgive somewhat since such a small team worked on this). Overall, a fun concept and a series and creators I want to see more of.
