Really felt lacking compared to the other books in the series. The flashbacks finally make sense and is fun to relieve if it wasn't so much and part of the book then it really would have been a good read. I like bastien but his story wasn't impressive. If it wasn't the bonus story with Thea it would have been rated 2 stars

as always a masterful plotting of so many interwoven stories and a crazy timeline, even though I wanted more focus on the couple themselves. couple cliches came through but overall typical Kenyon magic.

These books are so good. Sherrilyn is amazing at world-building and developing a set of characters that are fully-fleshed.

It wasn't bad but it was a lot of stuff from the last three or so books just from Bastian's point of view. I am glad to know how his story went. I wondered after Jullien's book.

I read Born of Betrayal, I liked the banter between the characters and the story was passable at best. I really read it for the back to back/ witty bickering so I ordered BoV. It wasnt worth my time. It felt short in numerous areas and I honestly don't feel like reading more from Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Actually, this is more of a 4.5 stars rating to me, but GoodReads doesn't divide stars into quarters so I can't put that. I just feel that the ending for Bastien and Ember was a bit rushed, hence the half star deduction.
