I'm loving these stories!!! This one had the paranormal aspect that the original Jane Eyre was missing, and it made it even more perfect!!!! The mystery and thrilleresque part of the story made it so much better. I love all the characters. The ghosts, especially Helen, made me laugh with their humor and wit. It honestly couldn't have been more perfect. Another reason, besides the characters, that I love this story, and the first one, is how the authors change so much of the original but still keep the aspects that are loved and real.

The retelling of Jane Eyre that you never knew was missing from your life. I loved this as thoroughly as their last book and was frankly disappointed when it ended. Can I demand a sequel?

The premise of these books are so ridiculous, but the writing is so fun and entertaining that they are very enjoyable and quick to read despite their length. There are so many random pop culture references hidden in the book that you wouldn't even realize unless you knew, which were interesting and made me smile when I came across them. This made me realize how much I have forgotten about the original Jane Eyre since it has been awhile since I have read it, but this retelling is so outlandish and different that you definitely do not have to have read Jane Eyre or remember it well to understand and enjoy this book.

"'Go home, Miss Brontë.'"

I had such a great time rereading this one, and I've decided it's a feel-good favorite of mine. I love the weird spin that these ladies add to their books, and it's so fun to see the alternate reality of Charlotte Brontë and Jane Eyre being friends. Mr. Blackwood is the cutest, and I think he deserves a nice vacation. Branwell is *that* himbo, and Helen gives the running narrative most books are missing. I just love the playfulness of the story and the way in which the authors interact with the reader. All-in-all, I had a great time rereading!

2.5 Stars for me but 4 Stars for a middle/early high school reader.

I was so excited for this book!! I loved My Lady Jane...it had me rolling on the floor and intrigued the whole time.

My Plain Jane just did not work for me at all! I skimmed the majority way through. I just didn’t find myself caring deeply about the characters. I was just curious about the twist and who got happily ever afters. Maybe it’s because I love the original. More than anything I think this one is meant for a younger audience! There are some fun pop culture references and it’s a happy go lucky book! It’s a great book premise for twisted classics! Better luck with the next one, which I plan on reading!
