Faster pace or shorter novel would have helped

Started out good. A bit creepy at times. Moved along at a nice pace. But, then it just seemed to... stall. Lost interest.

Really loved this book. It had many twists and turns that I did not see coming and a few that I had figured out early on but didn't detract from the story at all. If you're a fan of paranormal fiction or just like a good ghost story then you can't go wrong with this book. I loved the characters and found myself pulling for them from the very beginning. I am so excited to read the next book.

This was amazing! Creepy, scary and well written. A cast of believable, well written and developed characters. Better than any Stephen King novel I've read.
I will definitely be reading the sequel and as many other books by Aiden James that I can get my hands on!

This book freaked me out in places, but the characters were unbelievable at times.

The perfect family of perfect kids and perfect husband and wife was so unrealistic, cheesy, and forced that it actually made it hard to read.
There was clearly no research done on doctors, detectives, or even regional differences. There's a point where the detectives illegally search a house, then decide they need to bring their crime scene unit over. Instead of securing the area, they just ask the family to please leave it alone until they come back later. That was the point I almost put down the book for good.

I have always been a fan of Scary Thrillers. I didn't know what to expect when I first started reading this book and I was quite surprised when this book actually gave me the chills and made me jump! It's been awhile since I have read a book that caused these emotions! I loved every minute of it!!! For those of you out there that love a great scary read, I recommend this book!!

Overall great book it kept me wanting more details. Without any spoilers there was one scene which I could have done without but the book was worth accepting that. I can't wait to read the next book.
