I recently bought [b:SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome|25013067|SPQR A History of Ancient Rome|Mary Beard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1433127211s/25013067.jpg|44684882] by [a:Mary Beard|97783|Mary Beard|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1248269600p2/97783.jpg] and realized that I hadn't read this book yet. This book was quite readable, and a good intro to the study of Greece and Rome, and their influence in today's world.

Not exactly what I expected it would be about (the title doesn't exactly fit the contents, imho), but an interesting read regardless.

This book definitely had a few interesting insights, but overall felt very lacking in a contention. 90% of the time while reading, I felt lost and had no idea what anything was relating to.
