I basically know one thing about the Flash when I started the TV show; he was fast. That's basically all I know about him. But after marathoning 10 episodes of the first season, I fell in love with the character, and I told myself I was going to read more about him.

I asked a friend, who pretty much introduced me to comic books, what he thought would be the best Flash comic book he could recommend since I was only beginning to discover Barry Allen and the entire Speed Force stuff. He recommended me this.

It's too early to tell if I'll end up loving the entire volume because I'm only on the first issue, but so far, I find it a bit slow for a book that has a super-fast hero. I'm only rating it based on what I have read so far.

I would have to say I am a bit lost at the moment. The story seems to be revolving around the return of Barry Allen. I have no idea why he disappeared, although, there was a mention of it when he was talking to Hal Jordan (Green Lantern). It wasn't enough. I am expecting to possibly know more about the Crisis on Infinite Earths here. If I don't get that, I'll probably end up reading that first and then just go back to this one so I'll understand stuff even more.

Barry's married to Iris West, holy crap, no! Barry's mine!
