Almost as good as the first of the series! We get even more world building, an entirely new culture, including a tournament to win a wife (a plot I REALLY hope comes back for a future book). Grumpy/sunshine characters, and fake dating. This was unique for the alien romance genre and I really enjoyed it.

Still really liked the universe but this painful game of “will they or won’t they” really did not do it for me in the middle. It was like the longest quasi third act break up
