This lovely little chapbook, while quite small, is bursting at the seams. A tiny mesmerizing meditation that lulls and breaks readers. Bolden's fierce, unrelenting look at two people is done in such a way that I find myself speechless. It is a prose journey through the rise and fall of the two, sharp examinations of movement and space, and less that of a catalouge or dialogue. I want to read this book aloud again and again, the language vibrates, the images tender and real.
