I picked up this book from the bookstore in the Naples train station the day after I visited Pompeii and will need to reread it before I inevitably return. The author did a fabulous job bringing this ancient city to life through archaeological finds and explained the many different theories that abound. I would love to see an updated version of the book including new finds and theories.
