'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters' is a 4 issue crossover comic that was actually a lot of fun.

When a new invention goes wrong, the Turtles are sent to an alternate New York where the Ghostbusters live. Instead of weird mutants and anthropomorphic animals, they have to learn to deal with ghosts. The Ghostbusters likewise have to figure out what to do with these human size talking turtles.

The turtles are chasing a strange new enemy who has captured their friend Casey Jones. They also have to figure out how to get back to their New York. Before long, the 'busters and the turtles have paired off according to style and strength. Brainy and brainy, wise-cracking and wise-cracking, etc.

Sometimes these team ups don't seem to work so well, but I think this one worked out great. I liked how the two teams seemed pretty well matched up. The art is kind of a cartoony looking style, but it fits the book well. It was a lot of fun to read.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Diamond Book Distributors, IDW Publishing, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

Who you gonna call?
Heroes in a half shell... Turtle Power!!

Ooh My God... This was a dream coming true. Two of my childhood hero teams together in a beautiful comic book cross-over! Can you believe it?!
If you think a cross-over between these two is impossible to make any sense, you're definitely wrong! This was a match made in heaven.
Although, I think the story would've made more sense if I read one of the two series it involved. There were some characters I never heard, which caused that I didn't understand their involvement in the story.
The only background I had came from the live action movies and the old animation series from the 90's (which were/still are awesome!), so it was a bit hard to understand the whole plot.

The art of something I wasn't used to see, but suprised me in a good way. I still can't get used to the TMNT with coloured eyes instead of their with superhero eyes. It was beautifully drawn, although the Ghostbusters looked a bit too childish in comparison to the Turtles.

I highly recommend this comic book, even if you don't follow their individual series.

I won't lie, I had really low expectations going into this. These seemed like an intriguing match-up, but not one that would be executed well. While it wasn't "great," it wasn't bad, so that made me pretty happy and willing to read more if there are any more forthcoming. Basically the Ghostbusters and the turtles meet up when there is a glitch in one of the turtle's new inventions. They're sent to New York, but it's in an alternate dimension and it's one where the Ghostbusters reign supreme and no one has ever heard of the turtles. When an ancient ghost/god pulls himself into their dimension, using the same rip that the turtles traveled through, the two groups of heroes have to work together to banish the bad guy and create a machine that will send them back to their dimension. Humorous and full of great art.

There are some nice little Easter eggs for both TMNT and Ghostbusters and the art for the most part is pretty cool but the writing and story stop this from being a really good book and it just becomes glorified fan fiction. Plus there is no scene in which the two teams argue over weather to order Chinese or pizza.

Despite the fact that I’m not really a TMNT fan, I must confess to really enjoying this. The humour was well used, the action scenes worked well and the personal stakes were thoughtfully set. The story flowed well, despite all the extra characters.
My only issues were the ending, which seemed to be an unnecessary TBC… and the art style, which is throughout the series, is not to my personal taste.

A real fun read! I'm not nearly as big of a Ghostbusters' fan as I am a turtle-fan, but I think both groups are given ample time to shine and work off of each other!
