I don’t really have a lot to say about this book other than this didn’t work for me. The book had potential and at times was engaging, but then the writing is clunky.
I found the characters to be really unlikable and honestly can’t be bothered to type a lengthy review because nothing worked for me.

The title, cover, and summary drew me in, but this was hard to get through. This story was way heavier than I expected, with some characters that weren't really likable. I kept hoping it would somehow turn around, but it just left me with a heavy feeling. It's not that the writing was bad; it was just the content. There were a lot of serious topics throughout, and the female lead was pretty awful in a lot of ways. The male lead wasn't quite as bad, but he had several negative qualities as well. The story did end on a positive note, but it definitely doesn't make up for the rest. Not a big fan of this particular book, but would give the author another go on something else.
