Not quite as exhilarating at Storm Front, mostly due to it feeling bogged down from too many plotlines, but damn if it still wasn't fun to listen to. James Marsters's narration is phenomenal and has me addicted as hell to this series.

sometimes a book is so painfully written by a man you don’t even have to look at the cover to see the author’s name

Dresden is a chauvinistic pig and he excuses it by thinking himself a gentleman

For me, this wasn’t quite as good as the first book even with all the grisly blood and gore. The concept was really cool, the plot was engaging, but the writing felt a bit weak. Still, I’m glad to have read it and I’ll keep going with the series when I’m looking for a quick and diverting read.
