I think I read this book too quickly, because it's a graphic novel. If anything, I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had slowed down and really took time to understand the overlapping stories. It's definitely a narrative you have to think about and understand to get the most out of it. It told a really beautiful and important story.

Jin is exactly what the title is. He moves from San Francisco to a new town. Jin really seems embarrassed of his past since people always stereotype/ make fun of chinese people with "they eat dogs", "their eyes are tiny", "they always have accents" and so on. The book tells 3 stories and in the end they all come together which I thought was kinda cool. Overall I enjoyed reading the book in class.
