Wow what a fast pace read that starts right up we’re the first book in this series ended. This story is a Romeo and Juliet mafia style romance that is sweet and amazing dark read. You will want to be very annoyed with Scott as be is a very intense dark man and can be scary. The read will grab you from the beginning tell the ending.

Amazing!!! This book was swoon worthy, the edge of your seat, and super sexy! Yes, I nearly threw my kindle across the room, but I'm glad I kept going!! I loved it, and I can't wait to read Enzo’s book!!

An angsty, modern day Romeo and Juliet caught in the midst of a mafia war, King of Souls is an emotional rollercoaster you don't want to miss.

Torn apart by circumstances bigger than they thought possible, Nicco and Arianne have to rely on their new found love to get them through some of their toughest situations yet.

While Nicco has been exiled to Boston and Arianne is still living in Verona County both of their hearts are breaking at not being together. Arianne has been promised to the monster who stole her innocence by her own father all over a business deal and facing Scott without Nicco by her side is taxing to say the least. While Nicco hates not being by Arianne's side, he doesn't waste it sitting around, he helps his father gather enough evidence to bring the monsters down that threaten his love so when the time is right they will be finally be able to be together forever.

Arianne may have grown up sheltered, but even she knows that what her father's done is wrong. She's never felt more betrayed than when he gave her hand in marriage to Scott, the man who has tormented and raped her. To add to her heartache, Nicco has been sent away. It was to protect him and his family, but the more time they spend apart it feels like her heart is being ripped out. She isn't sure how much more she can take without her true love by her side.

It tears Nicco apart being away from Arianne. Their love may have happened fast, but he can't see a future without her in it. It takes everything in him to stay away and not tear Scott limb from limb, but the reminder that in doing so will not only hurt Arianne, but also his only family. Why can't their love be easy?

Will this fated love story end better than their Shakespearean counterpart or have they been doomed like Romeo and Juliet?

Unlike their counterparts, Nicco and Ari get an ending that won't make you sob in despair. These two young loves get more than a poisonous ending.

Ari and Nicco have a tumultuous path before they get their forever. King of Souls shows just how much they would do for each other.

King of Souls is the final "nail on the coffin" of the Verona Legacy duet but the start of the series. LA Cotton couldn’t leave us hanging...well more than that ending did. We get complicated edgy, Enzo's story and I am very excited to see him grovel! Lol.

Wow! I enjoyed this, but I got frustrated at parts, especially with Arianne’s decisions. Overall it was a good conclusion to Arianne and Nicco’s story.

King Of Souls by L.A. Cotton is a angsty college mafia romance. This is the second in the Verona Legacy series.

I absolutely love Lianne's books! She is an amazing writer that can just pull you into her stories. I loved the chemistry between Nicco and Ari. You couldn't help but root for the two of them. Lianne did a great job wrapping up their love story.

I cannot wait for the third book in the series Villain of Secrets to be released on January 26, 2021 so I can get Nora and Enzo's story.

I would highly recommend this series if you like mafia romance, college romance, or a modern day spin on Romeo and Juliet.

L.A. Cotton has given us a riveting, mind-blowing, heart-racing conclusion to the wonderful Nicco and Ari duet in the Verona Legacy series. Filled with secrets, betrayal, drama and passion, King of Souls is an absolute must read. I am so in love with this world. I know I will need to immerse myself in it again and again.

If I thought I couldn't love these characters more, I was wrong. Nicco Marchetti and Arianne Capizola are so meant to be. It makes my heart soar. Nicco with his devotion to Ari and his dedication to his family, is such a dream. His willingness to fight for Ari no matter what is what you want in a hero. Even from afar you felt his love.

Arianne showed so much more strength in this second book compared to the first. Gone was the naive, sheltered girl. I really really liked seeing her take matters into her own hands and stand up for herself and her loved ones.

There was a part of me that wished Nicco and Ari reunited a bit sooner.
I understand why they needed to be separated and it definitely added to the angst and built up the suspense. However, it felt like we were at a stand still for a majority of the book just waiting for someone to make a move. I would have like more action throughout.

That being said. I enjoyed this duet immensely. It spoke to my mafia needs and my Romeo and Juliet loving soul. We got a glimpse of what's to come in the Verona Legacy world. Let me tell you, I am DYING to get my hands on Nora and Enzo's story. I can't wait!!

What an ending to this Duet!! I didn’t want it to end but I had to know what would happen next. Nicco is still in Boston hiding out until things get settled but he isn’t happy being away from Arianne. He’s restless ready to get his girl back and fight for the love of his life, especially after what that creep Scott did to her. He wants revenge but his family needs him to see the bigger picture and try hard to wait. Arianne is struggling with the fact Nicco left and didn’t say goodbye, the betrayal of her father, and now she must play along with this fake engagement. These two were meant for each other, willing to die for each other, but hoping it won’t come to that. I love that we start to see a softer side to Nicco and even his dad but I love his ruthless side that protects what is his. All the twist and turns I saw some things coming since it is a Romeo/Juliet vibe but there were a few I was shocked over. Their fate was written in the stars but can they survive all the ups and downs to get there? Or will those set out to destroy them never allow them to be? An epic journey for Nicco and Arianne and I can’t wait to read Enzo’s book next. He’s going to be broody but amazing!!!

This storyline, ahh it was so amazing!! I was sucked into the world created by the author, L.A. Cotton, set into a theme of a Romeo and Juliette with a twist.

Nicco and Arienne are trapped on opposite sides, supposed to be enemies, but madly in love. And Nicco has to sit back when Ari becomes engaged to another man. I felt so bad for Ari, because you could just feel the life draining away from her. She was losing herself to the nothingness, and becoming lost.

Major plot twist by the end, I did not see the main betrayal coming, just WOW!!

And holy cow, I am so ready for the next book in this series, that moves on to two new main characters (Nicco and Ari’s story is complete, yay for them!). But o my good lord, I was so shocked by that last chapter/passage from the new female characters point of view, and wow, I want more!! Definitely cannot wait for V of S!!
