As far as I know this is not #ownvoices for disability (please correct me if I've wrong!) but I found so many elements to be relevant and relatable to my own experience with chronic illness. Even though it's very short and fluffy, it made me feel seen and helped articulate my struggles with chronic illness acceptance and awareness.

I'm so sad it just ends so abruptly though! I hope they publish the sequel ASAP.

What can I say about this graphic novel besides... it's BRILLIANT. It's everything I wanted and so much more. Not only is it written wonderfully, but it has stunning illustrations that are colorful and fun. This novel proves that graphic novels can tackle important topics with grace and beauty.

If you're looking for warm and fuzzy feelings and also want to learn about how to tackle some current topics and themes, I highly recommend this book. It's heartful and diverse storytelling at its finest. The best part about all of it? NONE of it feels forced. It's so seamless and smooth, something that I've been craving in the novels that I've been reading - graphic novels or not. I was absolutely delighted by the fact that it included different cultures and had LGBTQA+ and disability representation. All of it was handled super well too.

The characters are realistic. They are loveable. They are relatable. Honestly, you can't help but cheer them on, but you're also learning and understanding different POVs as you do it - though it's not 'in your face'! The characters grow from strangers into lovers and I CANNOT wait at all for book two.

Highly highly recommend for everyone to experience.

Fun worldbuilding, an interesting romance, and a well written romance and that, AND TONS OF LGBT REP? This comic was a very nice surprise.

The sci fi aspect is really fun, and it's not too basic or run off the mill, I love the mod worldbuilding. I feel the world feels a bit like a white void sometimes, but still it's pretty good for just being a backdrop. The tech building is good, but most of the worldbuilding is based on that.

And the romance is amazing, no cruddy third act breakup, a good amount of fluff, no emotional manipulation for the reader, just very well written and believable sapphic romance. There is a good amount of drama, but it's handled well and ties into the theme and character arcs, and comes to a close nicely at the end. I love the theme of "why you like someone" or "do you really like them or just an idea". Very good writing on the romance, imo.

And the art is so pretty! The colors are brilliant, and the character design is pretty good. I love seeing all the different mods.

Also the lgbt rep is great- there's a lesbian main relationship of course, an enby character, an agender character, and a character possibly on the ace spectrum.

I can't think of any gripes besides maybe the hyperfixation on the same themes of "bravery" and not using mods, but still it's very well written! it's a space romance and it delivers!

this novel had me kicking my feet and twirling my hair by the end, the main characters were so cute! REALLY pretty art, SUPER sweet characters, and EXCELLENT representation in a sci-fi world. some of the dialogue felt a little stiff, but i loved how communicative and understanding the MCs were with each other

I read this online a while ago and it was my absolute favorite thing at the time. I've reread it so much, it's such a nice story and the art is beautiful.
