This book told me some facts about our anxious feelings and offered some useful tips to deal with them. Basically, what you need to do is to be aware of your anxious feelings, plus to get curious about them. I did all the practices and they helped a lot. But still, I found the examples the author used were too good to be true. There were no negative feedbacks, not a single one. This confused me a little.

With engaging style, Brewer describes the process of counteracting addictive behaviours using mindfulness techniques.

It's always magnificent when it comes to neuroscience. However, brewer said everything except how to unwind anxiety.

Simple concept with a few steps and some ya ya that was also fine. There were some extra words, extra bits, for reinforcement that sent me daydreaming. I bet my brain was looking for something novel. I’m glad I took notes. My favorite parts were the section on noting and my new favorite anxiety mantra “Why doesn’t matter”. Also I am going to be reading all my boss’s emails with extra wide eyes from now on.
