spent a long time wishing my library would have this book and when looking at images to talk about it for my book arts class (bc all the lettering is done by hand!!) i came across a video of someone reading it on youtube which i muted and read along with. again probably not the most ethically sound of me but what can I say. it was nowhere else.
anyway WOW it is DARK! i enjoyed it and there are some very morbid kids out there of course but i think when you pair the amount of dark that it is with the simplicity of the writing it is like...is a 5 year old THIS morbid? but i enjoyed it and illustrations are wonderful of course. and i wish the video was higher quality so i could see the lettering more closely
note: i don't rate picture books, the lack of a rating doesn't mean anything
